We leave the 1960s for now and jump ahead to almost-the-present for the 2017 movie "The Man Who Invented Christmas."
This is the (presumably) fictionalized account of Charles Dickens (played by Dan Stevens) and his struggles in writing and publishing "A Christmas Carol" in 1843.
He's "helped" along the way by characters from the book, including Ebenezer Scrooge himself, as portrayed here by Christopher Plummer.
