Scrooge, or Marley's Ghost (1901) - Part 1

Scrooge, or Marley's Ghost (1901)
Director: Walter R. Booth
Scrooge: Daniel Smith(?)

We're staying old school for a look at perhaps the earliest movie adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" - "Scrooge, or Marley's Ghost,"  a silent British film from 1901!

This was produced by Robert W. Paul and directed by Walter R. Booth, pioneer British filmmakers. I put a question mark after Daniel Smith's name, as I only find that credit on the IMDB, on which he has no other credits.

Not all of the film survives, only about three and a half minutes, which is maybe about half. There's enough to get the flavor of it, however, and on the whole, it's pretty cool.

If you have the three minutes to spare, take a look...
