We continue our countdown of our All-Star team with a trip into Christmas Past where we meet Fan, Scrooge's sister.
My pick for Fan is Joanne Whalley from the 1984 TV-movie version of "A Christmas Carol" starring George C. Scott:
I'm not always a big um, fan of Fan, but I think Joanne Whalley does a very good job here and it's always fun seeing a future star in an early role.
In a very large cast, she's billed second from the bottom but I think she makes a bigger impression than a lot of those billed above her!
She's not a traditional Fan, as she's a young adult here whereas in the book she is a young girl. For purposes of this adaptation, Fan is older than Ebenezer and Ebenezer himself is a bit older than he would be when he left school, but that's all understandable.
So, she gets the nod as Fan and as the representative from that outstanding production!
